How are your white walls?

I was born in a white house with white walls and no decorations of any kind. My mother bought paint in 5 gallon buckets of bright white. One time she told me I could paint my room any color I wanted. I picked green. Green, dark, bold, this is my very own shamrock green. So, off to the paint store she went and up went the color. She revised it a bit. It was green, mint green, barely. It was so awful that I went back to white.
So that is my story of learning the art of decorating in my childhood years, buckets and buckets of white.
Creativity is a learned gift for some of us. It is certainly not always hereditary, and if you can overcome white undecorated walls to owning your own country decor store, you can overcome anything.
